1. Register with online companies like AdWraps, Ads2Go and Ads on My Car (see the Resources section) and businesses listed in your local phone directory. Neighborhood shops may be just as eager to advertise on your vehicle as large companies.
2. Review the criteria that advertising companies require and match it to your own situation before applying. Many companies seek applicants who live in cities and highly populated regions, drive frequently, drive daily on busy freeways and park their car where it can be seen by passersby when you're not driving.
3. Apply to as many different companies as possible, as this gives you more opportunity to advertise and the potential to earn more money.
4. Fill out the applications and include accurate details, including your telephone number, address and email. You also may be asked to include a photograph of your car for the advertiser to review when putting together a campaign in your area.
5. Present evidence of valid car insurance and a good driving record.
