There are several ways to find an international telephone number.
Finding a phone number in your local Yellow or White Pages is one thing, but when you have to find a number for an international business or organization, or for a person located in another country, you will have to dig a little deeper. Many resources exist to help you find the overseas number you need. Narrow down which ones are the most pertinent to your search so you can look up the international number quickly and easily.
Instructions
1. Find out what kind of number you are looking for. Looking for international phone numbers for a business and for an individual can mean using a different phone number resource, depending on the country in which the number is located.
2. Know the country and city code for the number you are calling. The Call Abroad website contains a listing of country and city codes (see Resource).
3. Use an online Yellow Pages to find an international phone number for a business. Choose the country and city in which you want to search from the main page of the online Yellow Pages site. Remember that the Yellow Pages are not all-encompassing when it comes to publishing phone numbers. The business may not be listed in the Yellow Pages of that particular online book, or it may not be published at all.
4. Look up an individual's phone number in the White Pages online. Some countries have Yellow and White pages for local phone books posted online. Find the site of a phone book published in that particular country. For example, you can find White Pages listings for Slovakia at Slovensko.com, which publishes Slovak Telecom's online phone book.
5. Search the website of the organization or individual for whose phone number you are searching. Look in the "Contact" section of the page, or at the bottom of each page within the site, for a phone number. Businesses may have their phone numbers listed in the customer care or support sections of their websites.
