Sell Fragrance Oils

Marketing on a strict budget can be frustrating enough to make any budding fragrance entrepreneur wish they had lots of start up cash. A great way to get the word out about your product, without spending money you don't have on gratuitous and unnecessary overhead, is to use a highly effective and cheap combination of modern Internet savvy and charismatic face-time.

Instructions

1. Take appealing, aesthetically pleasing digital photos of your fragrances. Surrounding each fragrance vial with the sources of their oils is a great visual idea (i.e., a men's fragrance surrounded by limes, sage, cloves, etc.).

2. Open an online store account with a well-known site that specializes in handmade goods, arts and crafts -- such as Etsy.com or Poppytalkhandmade.com -- and post your online store name, your photos and the prices. (See References 2 & 3.)

3. Add new fragrances to your online store periodically in order to expand your potential customer base and keep past customers informed of new product additions through a mailing list.

4. Contact your local city hall or chamber of commerce to get the name and contact info for the market master of the nearest farmer's market. Make it clear that you want to open a booth, and inquire about regulations and possible fees.

5. Display all your fragrances at your booth, but also make sure to advertise your online store name on your booth sign in large letters, and have free price lists printed out with your inventory and website address listed.
