The Importance Of Presentation In Marketing

How something is presented is almost as important as what is presented. Marketing is the process that concerns how a product is introduced or presented to customers in the marketplace.

Audience

The audience evaluates the marketing message in a certain fashion. According to 1000 Ventures, 50 percent of the audience's assessment is weighted toward how the message looks, 10 percent is on what it's about and 40 percent is how it sounds. Since half of the marketing message is based on what is seen, presentation is vital.

Overcome Objections

How the product is presented helps overcome buyer objections, explains Gaebler.com. For example, by explaining the benefits of the product instead of the possible pitfalls, the customer will be more apt to purchase the item.

Pervasive Marketing

Presentation often needs to be pervasive. Gaebler refers to it as creating awareness. The product or service should be presented throughout the market it intends to serve. For example, a neighborhood pizza restaurant must continually send promotional materials to the residences and businesses in an area in order to build and maintain its customer base.
