Easily prepare delicious pretzels for your concessions stand startup or fundraiser.
The world of concession stand sales can offer you and your fellow fundraisers or culinary entrepreneurs many opportunities to learn people skills, marketing skills, money-handling skills and, of course, the skill of all skills---the art of pretzel preparation. After all, that rich buttery glaze and those savory white crystals don't just grown on pretzels overnight.
Instructions
Water Bottle Method
1. Pour salt onto a paper plate.
2. Spray each frozen pretzel with water from the water bottle.
3. Place the pretzel face down into the plate of salt. Lift it up and shake gently to rid the pretzel of loose salt crystals.
4. Place the pretzel in the microwave to defrost and heat. The event staff at Saint Micheal's Church in Indianapolis recommends the highest heat setting and timing it for 1 minute.
5. Keep the pretzel in the pretzel display case warmer to keep it hot and fresh and to tempt passersby.
6. Serve on a paper plate with the option of melted cheese sauce.
Butter Brush Method
7. Melt butter in the microwave until it is in liquid form.
8. Place the frozen pretzel in the microwave and heat on high for 1 minute.
9. Use a basting brush to lightly coat the pretzel with melted butter.
10. Sprinkle the top of the pretzel with salt crystals (shaken directly from the container) or quickly lay the pretzel face down into a paper plate filled with salt and then shake the loose salt crystals from the pretzel.
11. Keep pretzel in the display case warmer until purchased.
