Write A Marketing Strategy Report

Graphs and images get the point across quickly and effectively.

You can write a convincing marketing strategy report that details your vision of success in the marketplace. Marketing strategy reports give businesses the opportunity to evaluate the overall direction of an advertising and sales plan. Including estimated cost and projected return figures gives those reviewing the report concrete numbers to base their decisions on. Create a marketing strategy report that is informative and persuasive so the reader is comfortable with his decision on the project.

Instructions

1. Title the marketing strategy report with a couple words or a short slogan that distills the plan's basic concept. This could be something as simple as "Appeal to Women," "Grow Western Operations" or "Social Media Advertising." The title should entice the reader to continue reading for more specific information.

2. Write a one- to three-sentence introduction paragraph that outlines the basic strategies the report proposes to implement. Include what customer base you intend to market to, how you will reach those customers and when the plan will begin. Avoid flowery adjectives, and keep this section brief and to the point.

3. Add charts, graphs, logos, font options and product pictures to the presentation to tell the story of the marketing strategy's success. Include projected cost and return numbers that are based on prior campaigns of similar scale by your company or competitors. These graphs, pictures and figures back up the strategy introduction by giving reasons why it will work.

4. Complete the report with a one- or two-sentence conclusion that summarizes why making this marketing investment is the right move for the company. Detail the conditions of the market and how you feel this strategy will be received by consumers.
