Follow Youtube Community Guidelines

An opportunity waits for you to share your creative talents with an entire online community at YouTube. Before you begin your adventure, it's well worth the effort to take a few minutes to read the guidelines set forth by the YouTube team to protect yourself and the millions of other users you hope to invite to a special viewing of your work.

Instructions

1. Respect the YouTube community and keep pornographic and sexually explicit video footage off the website. This type of material is in violation of the guidelines and is intolerable. YouTube works with law enforcement agencies and reports child exploitation.

2. Protect your identity on YouTube by remaining anonymous. Leave information that can help another person figure out your identity and place of residence off your video. Refuse to offer this data to anyone, even if the individual claims to be a part of the YouTube staff.

3. Practice good manners. Cyberbullying, hate speech and mean comments are unwelcome. You have the right to control this type of content and remove statements of this kind if someone posts it. Predatory behavior is grounds for a permanent ban from the YouTube website.

4. Get authorization to upload someone else's work. Understand copyright infringement and save yourself from legal hassles.

5. Share your work and enjoy the community. Once you know and understand the YouTube guidelines follow them. The guidelines are in place to protect you and the millions of people sharing and viewing the videos posted on YouTube. Violations of YouTube's specific directions can lead to termination of your account and serious legal problems.
