Marketing For Real Estate People

A comprehensive marketing plan is an important part of helping you sell more real estate. Whether you specialize in commercial or residential property, if you understand the importance of marketing your services, you will have a potential of increasing your income by attracting new customers and retaining current ones.

Basic Marketing Tools

Hire a graphic designer and copywriter to help you develop a website for your real estate business. Include information about services that you offer, benefits your customers get from your services and your contact information. Create a blog or newsletter to communicate important information to your real estate customers, such as interest rate decreases, special financing options and industry news. Also, have business cards printed that include your name, business name, address, website, email and telephone number. Pass out a business card to every prospective customer you meet and ask for contact information so that you can follow up.

Marketing Plan

Realtor.org says that, to create a successful marketing plan for your real estate business, you need to do several things. First, for each property you sell, make sure that you can answer the question "Why would a buyer want this property more than other properties in the same price range?" Next, take pictures of the best features of the property. Research the demographics of potential buyers for each piece of real estate that you list. Write down a plan for every property, including your goals, a description of the property, target buyers and appropriate marketing resources that you intend to use. Lastly, set up a system to track and measure your success.

Network

Attend local real estate meetings, conferences and other networking events. Join the local chamber of commerce. According to FloridaRealtors.org, you also should volunteer at organizations that you are interested in. You can help people in need while spreading the word about your services. Give back to your community and potential clients may take notice.

Referrals

Set up a referral program to reward your loyal customers for referring others to your real estate services. When you get new business from a client who referred someone to you, reward that client with a gift card, cash or other incentive. Send a hand written thank you note, even if you don't get the business. Referrals can be a good source of business for real estate people, so make sure that you follow up promptly whenever you receive a referral from a client.
